ABOUT
THE SPARK
The Spark is where change and healing ignite. Change is possible and healing is for you.
MISSION & HISTORY
HOW TO GET IN TOUCH
The Spark is a phone number you can call if you have caused harm or could cause harm to your partner; if your partner is asking you to change and you don’t know how; if you are worried about a family member who seems stuck in patterns of violence; if you’re a professional working with someone who has used violence; if you’re a high school or college student and have questions about safety in your own or another’s relationship.
The Spark, Violence Prevention Warmline, is available to anyone impacted by the presence of violence (physical, emotional, verbal, or other) or by a lack of safety in relationships. While we encourage all to call, we especially invite those who have engaged or could engage in causing harm to call. We are here to help break cycles of violence and spark change in the lives of Northeast Kingdom residents.
The Spark is NOT a crisis line. The Spark IS anonymous and confidential. We do not record calls or phone numbers. We do not report any information whatsoever to Law Enforcement, Department of Corrections, or Department of Children and Families, or any other system. We do not share any caller information with anyone outside of The Spark itself. All callers will be treated with compassion, respect, and dignity.
We have responders available 10 a.m.-10 p.m., 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Voicemails and emails will be responded to within 24 hours.
